WALL OF TEXT (read!)
my name is ole husøy høknes. i have studied design for five years at the oslo school of architecture and design. i have done small and big scale projects within system oriented design, service design, industrial design and interaction design. the last two years i have specialized in interaction design and will graduate the spring 2026. i have learned a lot and am proud of what i have achieved (see the sidebar for some of my school projects). while that is good and all still, there is a part of me that want to show off a bit of everything i have done over the years. projects i have done in my private life, or maybe a task we got one hour to do at school. i want to let them take just as much space in my portfolio as the bigger projects, as i often learn just as much from them. check out the playground for that.

my interest in the creative field started when i delved into the film world as a 13 year old. I wanted to become a film director for many years. movies and the art of storytelling became my passion. i used to nerd out (and still do) over the choice of font on the opening credits, surprising song choices or how a scene transitioned into another. moviemaking taught me that rules are there to be broken. (but first i need to master the rules). my career trajectory has since changed, but my passion for storytelling remains.
even though i am doing my masters degree in interaction design, i am not sure what kind of designer i would consider myself as. when i think about it, i'm not in a hurry to find out either. i just know that i want to work with other creative people and tell inspiring stories. stories told through strong visual identities, using both old and cutting edge technologies to create meaningful experiences that actually pushes humanity

(i have lots of experience using AI in the design process, but im reluctant to call them tools just yet.)
